For the past few months Jim and I have been working to get Tyler's new big boy room ready. We decided to keep the nursery where it is so Tyler will be taking over the guest room. For a while now we've slowly moved in his books and toys and encouraged him to play in there as much as possible to get comfortable with it. Monday we moved the last of his clothes into his closet and Monday night he made the transition! He was a little shocked at first that he was actually
staying in his room for the whole night but he only fussed for about 45 minutes before falling asleep and sleeping through the night. Each night has gotten progressively better and the past two nights he's gone to bed without making a peep! Naps, we knew, would be a little bit harder but he's not giving me any more trouble than he did in his crib so I think it's just a phase he's going through rather than anything to do with his room.
The first night Jim and I walked by the nursery and it was so weird and sad to see Tyler not in his crib. It's hard to imagine another little baby sleeping there but soon enough (2 months!!) there will be. It's just another sign of how our little guy is growing up into such a big boy.
Here are some pictures of his new room. The six framed pictures on the wall are pictures my dad took of animals this summer during his safari in Africa. They turned out great and Tyler loves them!

Congragulations Tyler. It won't be long before I am teaching you to shave.
LOVE the new room Ty! Can't wait to see it in person, but you are such a big boy! :)
