Two Months
Calvin turned 2 months old this Tuesday! I can't believe how fast it's gone this time around. Yesterday he had his doctor appointment and everything looks excellent. Here are his stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 5.5 oz--95th percentile
Height: 24.5 inches--95th percentile
Height: 24.5 inches--95th percentile
At 2 months he has Tyler beat in the height department but Tyler won out in weight by 6 ounces. I guess I have another big boy on my hands! Cal did great at the appointment, not fussing once during the examination. He did cry when he got his shots but quickly fell asleep afterwards. He continued to sleep most of the day and actually slept a record 9 hours straight last night! I fed him last at 6:45 and he didn't wake up until 3:45!! His usual is closer to 6 or 7 hours so the shots must have wiped him out. Check out the rings of fat on his arms!

Pedaling
When Poppy and Gammy were here last month they bought Tyler a bike with training wheels. Ever since we've been working hard on learning how to pedal and this week we finally mastered it. He first started to get the hang of it on William's tricycle then carried the skill over to his bike. Unfortunately I don't have a video of him on the bike yet but here's one of him on the trike. Next we need to work on pedaling and steering at the same time!

Slumber Party
Meg's mother in law invited Meg and I (plus Sam and Calvin) over for a slumber party while her husband was out of town. Libby had a delicious dinner for us and a huge pitcher of sangria (YUM!). After some fun girl talk and dessert we settled in with more munchies to watch a movie. There was lots of story telling and giggling all evening and we even managed to stay up until midnight. It was the perfect girly getaway and we had such a great time!
Fourth of July
Firsts...
First night in his crib:
Since moving Cal to his crib Jim and I have slept so much better and he seems to have developed a little routine. For now, we put him to bed at 7:30 and he sleeps until around 1:00. After being fed he'll sleep again until 4ish when he'll be fed again. Then, we start our day at 7. Not too bad for 5 weeks!

Visitors
We've been blessed to have such wonderful friends, family and neighbors that have stopped over to visit with Calvin, often times bringing us dinner to boot. Unfortunately, I've been horrible about taking pictures of Calvin with all his visitors. Below are some of my pictures with Jim's family as well as a video of Tyler and Anna playing when the Dyers came to visit.

My mom also came up to help out for a week. She was great, making dinners, taking care of the dogs and taking one of my boys while I spent some quality time with the other or took a nap. Thanks mom!!
Next, my dad and stepmom came for a week. They took Tyler all over town; to the zoo, the Science Museum and out to lunches. They were great with Cal too. Between the 3 of us I don't think he was ever set down! Thank you guys for all your help!!
