Early Christmas Present

Whether it was swift kicks, sharp jabs or just somersaults I can't say for sure but I definitely felt Baby B move this morning! I thought I felt Baby a few times this past week but couldn't be sure. This morning I definitely knew that Baby B was moving and grooving...and just in time for Christmas.

Shorter Do

Yesterday Jim and I took Tyler to get his hair cut yet again. He has the thickest hair and it just grows like a weed! To prevent monthly haircuts we had them buzz it pretty short this time and thin it out on top a lot. The result is so cute and really brings out his chubby cheeks. Tyler did great at the appointment and was very enthusiastic about the orange sucker he got as a reward.

Our Friendly Post Office

This past week Tyler and I were at the post office with, it seemed like, the entire population of Minnesota. I had three packages to mail out and the line was long. Tyler was being very patient standing right by my side considering there was nothing for him to do but sit and wait and my hands were full. A wonderful woman who worked there struck up a conversation with Tyler then decided to put him to work! She let him help her mail dozens of letters (push them through a slot) and each time someone was done with a package he got to help carry it to it's designated location. He felt so important to be helping with the mail and had a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me but just imagine his cute face with a huge smile!

Patriotic Birthday

This past weekend we celebrated William's 2nd birthday, which is tomorrow. For some time now William's been obsessed with flags so that was the theme of his party. The house looked like the Fourth of July in mid December! We had a Mexican feast and, of course, the cake was delicious. Happy birthday Wawa! We love you and are glad you and Tyler are BFF!

After shower suprise

How Tyler keeps himself busy while I take a shower...

First Snowman of the Season

This Saturday the weather was downright balmy with temps near 40 degrees. The words, "It's really not that cold out", actually came out of my mouth. So, out went Jim and Tyler along with our neighbors for a morning of shoveling and play. Jim and Joe soon discovered it was perfect snowman making weather and got busy building. The kids had a blast helping and watching but I think the daddies had the most fun! Looks like a great Frosty to me!

'Night Pretty Tree

We put our Christmas tree up last weekend and it has since become the focus of our little one's life. Every morning he comes downstairs and says, "Pretty tree!", then kneels down in front of it to stare. If you ask him Tyler will tell you, "tree, look, no touch" but he's often caught stroking the ornaments, touching the lights and swatting the branches. At least he hasn't tried to pull it over yet!
A few nights ago Tyler was having a very hard time grasping the fact that the day was over and it was time to go upstairs. Face red and streaming with tears he clutched Pup and started toward the stairs. Between gasping sobs he turned back and shouted "Night night tree!" then continued wailing up the stairs. Ha!

Birthday Dinner

Sunday night we went out to eat with our neighbors to help celebrate Joe's birthday. We had yummy burgers and sandwiches with bottomless fries dipped in the best Ranch I've ever tasted. Mmmmmm! The kids had a blast and all got to take a balloon home. The best part of the evening was Tyler and William yelling, "Hi Buddy!" at each other across the table the whole evening. Too cute!

Snowy Sunday

The snow didn't deter my boys from doing a little outside yard work this weekend. Tyler got all bundled up to help Dada shovel our driveway. After they were done they headed across the street to play with William and Vincent. Look at their rosy cheeks!

Texas Turkey Day

This Thanksgiving Jim, Tyler and I traveled back home to Texas for 7 wonderful days filled with family and fun memories. It was a whirlwind, especially for Tyler, since we seemed to see new people each day we were there, but I was so grateful for the chance to be able to catch up with friends and family. The weather was gorgeous and Tyler took advantage by breaking out his golf clubs everywhere we went. He was so happy! He loved getting all the extra attention everywhere we went. We've been home for a few days now and he still looks around for everyone from Texas. Thank you to all our friends and family, especially those who traveled so they could see us, for making time for us this Thanksgiving. We were reminded of how truly blessed we are because of you.
Here are a few pictures from our week.
