Cat and Mouse

Tyler got a remote controlled car for his birthday and him and Cal have a blast with it. Tyler drives it all over with Calvin following in close pursuit, both boys laughing hysterically. Here is a quick video of Cal in mid chase.

Bare Baby

Calvin has had two more teeth pop through this week (his top two eye teeth) and he's diligently working on pulling up on things. If you set him up he can stand holding onto something for a good while! He loves hanging out in just his diaper and HATES being changed and dressed. I have a feeling this one is going to welcome the summer weather!

Last weekend Tyler sent Jim to the No No Chair for not listening, even setting the timer for 2 minutes. Hmmm can you tell what goes on around our house???

Warm Up

Last week we enjoyed sunny days with temps in the high 30s and low 40s. The boys and I took advantage and were outside everyday, even venturing to the local playground. Calvin got to experience his first swing ride and Tyler had fun learning how to pump his legs on the big boy swings and going down the slides. We now officially have Spring Fever and are anxiously awaiting warmer days that are sure to be here soon!

Pee is for Potty

After a false start at the end of last year and a 2 month hiatus, we are back on the potty train! Last week Tyler renounced his ban on all things potty and we were off. After offering him candy rewards for each success we have graduated to a sticker chart. The reward--a large Mack truck from the movie Cars which is showcased over the TV for maximum incentive. After a few days of letting Tyler lead, we instigated a new routine. Immediately upon waking we sit on the potty and change into his underwear. Then we're in it all day except for nap and night time when he'll wear a pull up. Sunday was the first day and he's been dry two whole days now! We even went shopping and out to dinner with no problems! Although, Jim and I were beyond nervous about going in public and ate a fairly speedy dinner :) As it stands right now, he's halfway done with his sticker chart. We still have to tackle going #2, then nights and naps but we're taking things one thing at a time. We are so proud of our big boy!!
