Waiting For Daddy

This is where you'll most likely find my boys come 5:30.

Nana and Her Boys

Isn't this picture the cutest?? It was taken on Mother's Day at our house. I love how Ty's blue eyes are jumping out of the picture.

NYC

Jess and Alan

This May I got to go visit my little sister in NYC for 3 wonderful days. It was fabulous! I hadn't been to NY since she moved there and it was great to see her new apartment, her salon, meet all her friends and hang out with her and Alan. We did some wedding shopping, I got to go with her to try on her wedding dress (so beautiful!!) and I had a fitting for my bridesmaid dress. Her apartment in Brooklyn is really cool. She has access to a backyard that she shares with 3 other people who all work with her at the salon. At night everyone would get together to eat dinner outside. On Friday we went to her salon in Soho and she cut my hair, which I desperately needed! The next night we went to Alan's bar and hung out with him while he worked. I got to meet a ton of their friends, many who will be coming to the wedding this summer. Jessica and I have lived in different states for almost 10 years now so it was so much fun getting to live under the same roof again, even if it was for only 3 days. Jess, I love you and can't wait to see you in Ireland!!

Graduation

In May Tyler graduated from Preschool! They had a great program for the kids and their families. We started by watching a slide show of the kids throughout the year. Then we watched a video of each kid saying his/her name and saying what they wanted to be when they grew up. Tyler wanted to be Luigi from Super Mario Brothers. Ha!
Next the kids all sang some songs together and in small groups. This was followed by the graduation ceremony where the kids wore caps and received a diploma from their teacher. She then pronounced them the graduating high school class of 2025. Wow!
Afterwards we had an ice cream and cookie social. What a fun way to finish out a great year of school!! Here are some pictures. Sorry some are so fuzzy.

Birthday Weekend

This April Meg and I had our traditional birthday weekend away and it was great! The first night we hung out in our hotel room, snacked on a delicious assortment of food, chilled in the hot tub and enjoyed some mindless tv. The next day we did some serious shopping, had a huge lunch and then gabbed the night away together. I always look forward to this weekend and it's wonderful to have a best friend to sneak away with. Love you Meg!!

Back in Time

I've been a horrible blogger this spring and summer! Consequently, I've had to skip some posts to blog about more current events like birthdays etc. So, now I'm going back in time to blog about those events that got skipped starting with April. Buckle up, we're going back in time!!

First Pitch

This past Saturday we all went to the Twins game to watch Nick, our nephew, throw out the first pitch! He was so calm and threw a great pitch right to the mascot, T.C. We are so proud of you Nick!!

It was also Calvin's first Twins game and I was a little nervous that he would have trouble sitting still for so long but he did great. To be honest, he hardly knew there was a game going on because he was so concerned with all the food! The one time he paid attention was when we scored a home run and all the fireworks went off. It was fun to watch with Tyler who could actually follow the game and it was great to spend time with the family.
