1st Annual Blaine Triathalon

This past Saturday Jim participated in Blaine's 1st Annual Triathlon. Jim stepped out of his comfort zone with the biking and swimming portions of the event. He trained so hard for this race and did great despite the heat and 30 mph winds. My dad and Linda came into town and got to help me cheer on Jim and corral the kids. Not sure I would have made it without their help! Later, they took the kids out to dinner and put them to bed so Jim and I could enjoy a celebratory dinner. Thanks Dad and Linda!

Jim, we are all so proud of you and love you very much!! Here are some pictures!

Baseball's Back!

This summer Tyler is doing baseball again. His team, the Border Cats, started practice last week and Tyler is loving it! This year there are 5 and 6 years olds on his team and instead of using a tee the coach will be pitching the ball. Their games start in May and we can't wait!!

Easter!!

Better late than never!

We had a great Easter this year. The boys were very excited to find their baskets! After a really inspirational church service we headed to Shannon and Mark's house to spend the day with the cousins, Nana and Papa. Shannon did a great job hiding tons of eggs for the kids to find. And Kaitlyn, Ryan and Nick did a great job of helping Ty and Cal hunt for their eggs...so great, in fact, that I got to stay inside with the adults, enjoy great conversation and food and not take 1 picture. Oh well! The day was spent playing various games, snacking on munchies and candy and catching up. Nana and Papa taught all the grown ups a new card game and we had a blast. After a great dinner we had to head home to put our little bunnies to bed. Thanks again for hosting Shannon and Mark. It was really nice to all be together again!!

Easter Eggs

This year both boys got to help dye Easter eggs. I accidentally broke 2 during the hard boiling process so they became lunch for the day :)
