Thankful Trees

This year I helped the boys make Thankful Trees. They colored the trees then told me some things they were thankful for. I wrote these on leaves which we cut out and pasted on their trees.

As you can see from their trees Tyler was abundantly thankful this year. I had to print off an extra page of leaves then finally cut him off. Ha!

(Calvin's tree)

Calvin had a harder time but ultimately came up with 4 things. Below are the things they are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Tyler: school, delicious food, family, lunch at Mama Meg's, sports, God, our house, friends, Jesus, nice neighbors, Minnesota

Calvin: Toy Story, colors, chicken nuggets, apples

First Hot Chocolate of the Season

Fortunately for my boys I don't believe you need snow to have hot chocolate, just some cold weather! Yesterday was a high of around 30 degrees, so after doing some working and playing outside we treated ourselves to hot chocolate with whupped cream (as Tyler calls it). Easily my favorite thing about winter!

Trick or Treat!

The boys had a great time trick or treating! Calvin was unsure about getting all dressed up but after the first couple of houses he caught on. He only made it around the inner circle of our neighborhood before he was ready to come home and help me hand out candy. Tyler was a seasoned pro and stayed out to tackle the outer circle with all the big boys. They're already talking about next year!
