Summer Sports

This summer Tyler is taking golf lessons and is in a 4 yr old T-ball league. Both started last week and so far he is loving them. Here are some pictures from his golf lesson. Jim has been taking him to the putting green and driving range almost every Saturday for the past 2 summers so he's pretty comfortable there. I'll post T-ball pictures soon. Happy summer!

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter holiday! Nana and Papa watched the kids for us the night before and stayed over. In the morning Tyler and Cal hunted for their Easter baskets and consumed untold amounts of candy by 8:30am. After an amazing church service in the morning we came home and the boys hunted for Easter eggs in the backyard and we all ate a yummy Easter brunch. Happy Easter!

Preparing for Easter

On Good Friday Tyler, Jim and I colored and decorated Easter eggs to be hidden on Sunday. Then we baked Easter cupcakes and Tyler and Calvin were in charge of sprinkles. They turned out pretty good!

Snapshot of Cal

These days this picture pretty much sums up Calvin. He is getting in some molars and constantly has his fingers (or his while hand) crammed into his mouth. His mood reflects this milestone as he is always one wrong look/word/move away from his whole world crashing down. We must see him running to us in tears crying "Hold me!" at least a million times a day. Poor baby. As my grandmother (Honey) is fond of saying "Give me strength!"

Grammy comes to visit

This past weekend Grammy came for a visit. Unfortunately, the weather here didn't cooperate and she got to witness her first snow in April. The boys had a blast showing her everything that has changed since she was here last. Tyler loved playing bouncy ball with her and Calvin slaved away for her in his play kitchen. On Saturday we all went bowling and out to eat. Everyone had such a good time and Ty and Cal haven't stopped asking about her yet. Thanks for making the trip up Mom!

Happy April, almost May

Twice this past week we've woken up to snow on the ground, a regular winter wonderland. Our kids are still having to bundle up to go outside. Will it ever end???????????

4th Annual Birthday Celebration

This April Meg and I had our 4th annual birthday getaway. In years past we would leave on Saturday, stay the night and return on Sunday. Last year we were unable to fit it all in so we decided to extend it to a full weekend away. After looking forward to it for a year it was finally here! We checked into our suite on Friday and reluctantly left Sunday afternoon. Our weekend was filled with lots of conversation, eating, relaxing, sitting in the hot tub, shopping, reading, listening to music and watching movies.
We had so much fun! It was the perfect way to celebrate our birthdays together and recharge our batteries. Love you Meg!
